Terms & conditions

1. GENERAL NOTES

1.1 These terms and conditions govern your participation in Viking Village's game experiences (“the Experience”). We reserve the right to amend or modify these terms and any website content at our sole discretion without prior notice.

1.2 Please read these terms carefully before submitting your booking. They outline who we are, how we provide the Experience, how you and we can change or end the contract, what to do if there’s a problem, and other important information.

1.3 If you are booking on behalf of others, it is your responsibility to ensure all participants agree to these terms and are informed of all relevant booking details. Viking Village will not be responsible if members of your group are unable to participate due to a lack of information provided by you.

 

2. INFORMATION ABOUT US AND HOW TO CONTACT US

2.1 Viking Village is independently owned and operated, with our registered office located at Viking Village, Seal's Cove Adventure Centre, St. Andrew's Industrial Estate, Shoe Lane, Bridport, DT6 3EX. We operate under the name Viking Village.

2.2 You can contact us via info@sealscove.co.uk.

2.3 If we need to contact you, we will do so by telephone or email using the information provided during your booking.

 

3. OUR CONTRACT WITH YOU

3.1 Individual/Private Customers:

3.1.1 Your booking is confirmed, and a contract is formed when your payment is successfully processed, and you receive a booking confirmation email.

3.1.2 If we are unable to accept your booking due to resource limitations, we will notify you in writing and issue a refund.

3.1.3 A booking reference will be assigned to your booking and included in the confirmation email. Please use this reference whenever contacting us about your booking.

3.2 Corporate Customers:

3.2.1 Your booking is confirmed when you agree on the date, venue, activities, guest numbers, and price with our event organiser. Full payment is due at the time of booking unless other payment terms are agreed upon.

3.2.2 After booking and payment, we will send you a confirmation email with your booking reference. This reference should be used in all communications regarding your booking.

 

4. AGE RESTRICTIONS

4.1 Age Limitations

Participants must be at least 18 years old for certain activities, including axe throwing. It is your responsibility to ensure all participants meet the age requirements. No refunds will be provided for age-related exclusions.

  • Axe Throwing: Strictly for guests aged 18 and over.

  • Table Football and Cornhole: Open to all ages.

  • All Other Games: Suitable for guests aged 12 and over.

  • Evening Hours: From 8 PM onwards, Viking Village is an 18+ venue
     

5. CANCELLATIONS AND RESCHEDULING

5.1 Customer-Initiated Cancellations:

No refunds will be issued for cancellations. Rescheduling may be allowed at the discretion of Viking Village management if requested more than 24 hours before the original booking. Rescheduled bookings must occur within 30 days of the original date.

5.2 Venue-Initiated Cancellations or Changes:

We reserve the right to cancel or amend your booking due to unforeseen circumstances. If significant changes are made to the Experience, you may reschedule within 30 days or request a refund.

5.3 Non-Compliance:

We may cancel your booking without refund if participants fail to sign the liability waiver, behave aggressively or disruptively, or violate safety rules, including consuming alcohol before or during axe throwing.

 

6. ALCOHOL AND SUBSTANCE USE

6.1 Challenge 25 Policy: We operate a Challenge 25 policy. We reserve the right to request ID from anyone we believe to be under the age of 25. Failure to provide appropriate identification will result in refusal of service.

6.2 Drunkenness: Anyone visibly inebriated will be asked to leave the premises. We will not serve alcohol to anyone who appears drunk or unable to participate safely in any of our activities.

6.3 Zero-Tolerance Drug Policy:

Viking Village enforces a zero-tolerance policy on illegal substances. The use of drugs is strictly prohibited on the premises. Anyone caught using or possessing illegal substances will be immediately removed from the venue and issued a lifetime ban. Any behavior we deem related to drug use will result in immediate removal.

 

7. PAYMENT TERMS

7.1 The price for your booking, including VAT, will be indicated on the booking page or agreed upon with our event organizer. Payment is required at the time of booking. Once payment is processed, you will receive a receipt via email.

7.2 Refunds will not be issued for reduced participant numbers. Additional participants may be accommodated upon arrival if space permits and additional fees are paid.

7.3 Viking Village does not accept cash payments. We accept Visa, MasterCard, and American Express credit and debit cards.

 

8. LIABILITY

8.1 Our total liability to you is limited to the amount paid for the booking. Viking Village is not liable for any loss or damage beyond this amount.

 

9. USE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

9.1 We will use your personal information only as described in our Privacy Policy and in compliance with applicable laws.

 

10. OTHER IMPORTANT TERMS

10.1 We may transfer our rights and obligations under these terms to another organisation. If this happens, we will inform you in writing, and your rights under the contract will not be affected.

10.2 This contract is between you and Viking Village. No other person has the right to enforce any of its terms.

10.3 If any part of these terms is found to be unlawful, the remaining terms will continue to be in effect.

10.4 These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Legal proceedings can be brought in the English courts or, if applicable, in Scottish or Northern Irish courts.

 

By making a booking at Viking Village, you agree to these terms and conditions.
